The Conotton Valley Rockets defeated Steubenville Central Catholic 34-13 during a Thursday game, Sept. 10, on the road. Junior Maddox Walter had 211 yards rushing on 35 attempts, averaging six yards per carry. He scored three touchdowns for the Rockets. Sophomore Evan Rice also rushed for a touchdown. Grand jury indicts six on drug-related charges

Six persons were indicted on drug-related charges when a Carroll County grand jury met Sept. 2 for a half-day session. Prosecutor Steven D. Barnett said the grand jury heard from seven witnesses.
