Vacant home destroyed by early morning fire

The remains of a Norco Rd., Carrollton, two-story vacant home destroyed by fire.

Fox Twp. Volunteer Fire Department was called to a structure fire Aug. 14 at 6:05 a.m.

A two-story wood frame 30×30-foot vacant home was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived at 5156 Norco Rd., Carrollton.

The home, owned by Jim and Linda Bosler of 7054 Andora Rd., Mechanicstown, was overgrown with weeds and trees.

Firefighters from Bergholz Fire Dept. and Carrollton Village Fire Dept. assisted Fox Twp. VFD. They were on scene until 8:05 a.m.

Fox Twp. Chief Fred Barnett said the structure was a total loss and did not believe it was insured.

The State Fire Marshall’s office was notified.

The cause is undetermined.
