Grand jury indicts six on drug-related charges

Six persons were indicted on drug-related charges when a Carroll County grand jury met Sept. 2 for a half-day session.

Prosecutor Steven D. Barnett said the grand jury heard from seven witnesses.

Those indicted include:

HANNAH L. FINN, 25, of 7187 Township Rd. 263, Bergholz, one count of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, a felony of the fifth degree (F5). Finn is charged with possessing methamphetamine at a Carrollton residence Aug. 18, where police were called.

CAITLYN D. EDWARDS, 22, of 7117 Township Rd. 263, Bergholz, one count of Aggravated Possession of Drugs (F5) and one count of Possession of Drugs, a first degree misdemeanor (M1).  On Aug. 29, Edwards was found in possession of Oxycodone and Xanax pills following a traffic stop by Carrollton Police officers.

CALLIE A. PLETCHER, 32, of 219 ½ Lincoln Ave. NW, Carrollton, one count of Possession of Heroin (F5), one count of Possession of Drugs (M1) and two counts of Endangering Children (M1). While investigating a traffic complaint Aug. 18, police found Pletcher in possession of heroin and Buprenorphine while two minor children were in her vehicle.

MARK A. McCOURT, JR., 34, of 1204 Township Highway 267, Amsterdam, one count of Aggravated Possession of Drugs (F5) and one count of Possession of Drugs (M1). On Aug. 19, police officers were dispatched to a Carrollton area business to investigate a theft complaint.  During the investigation, McCourt was identified as having a warrant for his arrest. Officers then discovered suspected Xanax on McCourt’s person and for which he had no prescription.

LINDSAY R. BUCKLEY, 30, of 3034 Arrow Rd. NW, Carrollton, one count of Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs (F3), one count of Aggravated Possession of Drugs (F5) and one count of Possession of Dangerous Drugs (M1).  Buckley is charged with selling Aderall to sheriff deputies Aug. 26.  When Buckley was arrested, she was found in possession of Gabapentin without a prescription.

DAMEN LYNN TEETERS, 42, of 1915 31st St, NW, Canton, one count of Aggravated Possession of Drugs (F5). On Aug. 30, while investigating a suspicious person complaint near a Malvern area business, deputies found Teeters in possession of methamphetamine.

Arraignments are scheduled Sept. 10 beginning at 8:30 a.m. before Judge Michael V. Repella, II in Common Pleas Court.
