Carrollton 2020 Homecoming Queen Cailyn Bright

Carrollton High School senior class president Cailyn Bright was crowned 2020 homecoming queen during a ceremony Sept. 18 prior to the Carrollton vs. West Branch football game.

Bright, the daughter of Dave and Dana Bright of Carrollton, is a three-time qualifier to the state bowling tournament, a scholar athlete and a first team Eastern Buckeye selection in both volleyball and bowling.

Academically, she is a member of the Academic Hall of Fame and National Honor Society. She is also active in the CHS Spanish Club, student council, choir, drama club, Prayer Warriors and assisted the CHS club with its program to feed students on weekends. She is also active in her church’s youth group.

She plans to attend the University of Akron and become a math teacher.

She was crowned by Jacob Baker, senior class vice president and a member of student council. Hayden Burgett, a senior member of the cross country team, presented Bright a trophy.

Other members of the court included:

Aliyah Jenkins, daughter of Larry and Jamie; Abby Laizure, daughter of Shane and Shelli Laizure; Lizzie McNutt, daughter of Paul and Connie McNutt; and Grace Rutledge, daughter of Bryan and Barbara Rutledge.
