Rocket net team posts win over Cardinals, falls to Trojans

The Rockets volleyball continued their early season win streak by defeating host Sandy Valley Aug. 25 in four games, 24-26, 25-21, 25-23, 25-9.

Ellie Bower recorded 18 points and six kills to lead the winners. Kendall Schaar added 10 points and four kills. Tabby Stuber recorded 11 digs.

 The JV team defeated the Cardinals 17-25, 25-19, 25-21.

Tusky Valley

The Rockets ran into a buzz saw when they faced Tusky Valley Aug. 27, falling in three sets, 8-25, 18-25, 8-25.

Emily Seidel scored six points and recorded four kills and 25 digs. Autumn Brown added seven kills and 14 digs and Bower contributed defensively with 24 digs.

The junior varsity team lost in two sets 9-25, 12-25.

The Rockets travel to Newcomerstown Sept. 3 for an Inter Valley Conference (IVC) game. Varsity action begins at 7 p.m.
