Grand jury hands down F1 rape indictments; drug possession, domestic violence, other charges

A Waynesburg Rd. man was indicted on two counts of first-degree felony rape by a Carroll County grand jury July 6. Carroll County Prosecuting Attorney Steven D. Barnett said Corey S. Stamm, 31, of 7216 Waynesburg Rd., Waynesburg, was also charged with two counts of Sexual Battery. Formal charges were filed last week and bond set for the man who held a Sherrodsville postal worker at gun point June 18.Carroll County Municipal Court Judge Gary Willen set bond at $250,000 cash or surety with a 10 percent feature and a GPS monitoring ankle bracelet for 47-year-old Justin Gerald Bendo during an arraignment hearing June 21. The Malvern Market, an artisan and farmers market, will open June 29 from 3:30-7:30 p.m. at Malvern Village Park on SR 43. Wild turkey blamed for SR 164 fatal accident

CCM Staff Report A wild turkey is blamed for a motorcycle accident that took the life of an East Liverpool woman June 5 in Orange Township. Carroll County Sheriff Dale Williams said the accident remains under investigation. Ribbon cutting marks naming of new show arena Ashton Event Center
