The Carroll County Fair runs July 19-24 and features jr. fair shows, grandstand entertainment, rides, foods and more.

The Carroll County Messenger contacted two fair vendors, DeMaiolo’s Concessions and City Limits Western, for interviews.

DeMaiolo’s Concessions sells elephant ears, funnel cakes and French waffles.

Bob Alger of Austintown, who operates DeMaiolo’s Concessions, said, “Carroll County is the place we do the best, selling elephant ears.”

He sells more elephant ears during the Carroll County Fair than at the Canfield Fair. He also stated, “They are crazy about French waffles in Carroll County also. We sold about 4,000 last year.”

City Limits Western was established by former livestock exhibitors and volunteers at the Stark County Fair, Amy and Dustin Adams.

They plan to stock the trailer (at the fair) with some of the latest clothing fashions, including Twisted X and Hey Dude shoes, boots, clothing for adults and children, accessories, hats and of course, show supplies.

Learn more about these vendors in the July 27 issue of The Carroll County Messenger.
