Leggett, Worth named CHS May students of month

Kaylee Leggett and Ryan Worth were named Carrollton High School May Students of the Month.

Leggett is the daughter of Janice and Cason Leggett of Carrollton. She has an older sister, Bethany, 21, who is a senior in college.

She is a member of the Carrollton High School marching and concert band, Spanish Club, National Honor Society and the Caring Helping Sharing Club. She was a member of the girls varsity soccer team.

Her hobbies include reading and fishing with her grandpa.

She plans to attend the University of Akron and major in mechanical engineering. Future plans are to become a police officer with specialized training in accident reconstruction.

“I hope to improve the safety of cars and road conditions in our community to ensure everyone can make it home safely,” Leggett explained.

Who has influenced her?

“My mom has been my biggest inspiration,” she said. “She is so strong, has always supported me and never gives up. I am so happy to have a mom like her.”

What is her advice for success in life? “Find a good balance between work/school and things that make you happy. Find time to do the things you want to do and to spend time with family and friends.”

Worth is the son of Toby and Melissa Worth of Carrollton. He has a younger brother, Colton, 9, a third-grade student and two younger sisters, Lauren, 12, 6th grade and Adelyn, 7, first grade.

He is a member of the FFA, county 4-H program, Carroll County Junior Fair Board, National Honor Society and student council. He was a member of the boys bowling team.

In his spare time, he enjoys farming and reading fantasy books.

He plans to attend the University of Akron and study engineering.

Who has influenced him?

“My family has influenced me by teaching me a lot of different things and helping me out,” he explained.

What is his advice for success in life? “Be organized and on time.”
