Synda D. Haag, 60, of Carrollton, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2022.  She was born to the late Samuel D. and Ruth O. Glasure. Her passion was landscaping and working with her flowers. She married Richard A. Haag on March 28, 1997. Survivors are her husband Rick A. Haag of Carrollton. One son Ryan (Kayla) Glasure of Dennison. Siblings Shawn (Denise) Glasure of Harlem Springs. Funeral services are scheduled Thursday, Oct. 27, for the 16-year-old Minerva cross country runner who died in a tragic accident Oct. 22 at the district cross country meet at Cambridge. Walter B. Shaver, 93, of Carrollton, passed away Saturday morning Oct. 1, 2022 with his family by his side. A son of the late Walter B. and Lottie Felton Shaver, he was born Dec. 24, 1928, in Rowlesburg, West Virginia. During the Korean War, Walter served in the Army as a tank operator. Following his discharge from the Army he worked in Alaska as a coal miner for two years.
