James William Jeffries, 93, of Paris, OH, passed away at Carroll Golden Age Retreat/County Home Monday, Aug. 29, 2022. James was born in Grafton, West Virginia Nov. 29, 1928, to Leonard Alvin and Charlotte Elizabeth (Klepfel) Jeffries.

James drove truck for Fry Brothers Coal. He also farmed. He enjoyed playing the guitar and singing.

James is survived by three daughters: Crystal (Bob) Bowman of Mechanicstown, Melody (Don) Weaver of North Industry, and Lora (Odell) Brown of Hartville; a son, James Thomas Jeffries of Mechanicstown; eight grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jeffries; four sisters; and one brother.

Graveside service will be held at Heritage Memorial Gardens, 16727 Bayard Road, Minerva, Sept. 1, 2022 at 1 p.m.
