Wild turkey blamed for SR 164 fatal accident

CCM Staff Report A wild turkey is blamed for a motorcycle accident that took the life of an East Liverpool woman June 5 in Orange Township. Carroll County Sheriff Dale Williams said the accident remains under investigation. Preliminary details indicate Oliver James Humphrey, 72, and his wife, Sheila Denise Humphrey, 69, of East Liverpool were driving west on SR 164 (Amsterdam Rd.) just east of New Hagerstown about 2:42 p.m.

Flag disposal set June 14

Carrollton VFW Post 3301 and American Legion Post 428 will conduct a flag disposal ceremony June 14 at 6 p.m. at the VFW Post home on Chase Rd. According to C. Two people involved in a break-in and robbery at a Malvern laundromat were indicted when a Carroll County grand jury met for a half-day session June 1.
