CHS bowlers remain undefeated

Wins over Indian Valley and United Local allowed the Carrollton boys and girls bowling teams to remain unbeaten on the season. The Warrior boys team rolled over Indian Valley 2,265-1,862 at Alpha Lanes Dec. 9 and topped United Local 2,501-2,214 at Forest Lanes.  With the wins the team improved to 6-0 overall, 3-0 in Stark County Bowling Association. Hornets double up score on Rockets

In a cross-county battle, Malvern defeated Conotton Valley 41-21 at the Eastern Ohio Sports Complex in Sherrodsville Dec. 9. Senior Rocket Kendall Schaar opened the game landing the first shot within seconds after tip-off. The Hornets went down the court and answered. Both teams went back and forth with a steal by Hornets Lanie Bower resulting in two points. The Hornets led 8-6 at the end of the first period.

Nutcracker to be shown at Roxy Theatre; COVID-19 guidelines to be followed

Gas, oil industry sponsors county Toys for Tots distribution

 Ohio’s oil and gas industry partnered with Toys for Tots in seven counties in eastern Ohio to collect toys for distribution to those in need in early December.
