CHS bowlers remain undefeated

Aaron Clark bowled a 411 series to lead Carrollton to a win over United Local Dec. 9.

Wins over Indian Valley and United Local allowed the Carrollton boys and girls bowling teams to remain unbeaten on the season.

The Warrior boys team rolled over Indian Valley 2,265-1,862 at Alpha Lanes Dec. 9 and topped United Local 2,501-2,214 at Forest Lanes.  With the wins the team improved to 6-0 overall, 3-0 in Stark County Bowling Association.

The girls team defeated Indian Valley at Alpha Lanes 12,432 – 2,045 and United Local 2,514 – 1,961.

Boys action

United Local

Aaron Clark and Fred Tessanne rolled 400 series against United Local.

Clark, a junior, rolled games of 201 and 210 for a 411 series. Tessanne, a senior, bowled games of 213 and 194 for a 407 series. Others scoring included Ryan Worth 375 (202, 173); Brant George 370 (187, 183); and Clint Brackin 156; and Kobe Green 133.

The Warriors won the individual games score 1,852 – 1,562 and the Baker.

Garrett Bailey led United Local with a 378 series.

Indian Valley

Senior Coby Weiland led the way for the Warriors at Alpha Lanes with a 342 series (168, 174); followed by Tessanne 340 (202, 138); Clark 337 (166, 171); and Ryan Worth 337 (159, 178).  Clint Brackin 161, and  George 157, rolled single games.

Carrollton won the individual games score 1,674 – 1,325 and the Baker 591-537.

Junior varsity

Carrollton won the junior varsity match against Indian Valley 1,817 – 1,142 behind a 332 series rolled by Tyson Baker.

Girls action

United Local

Cailyn Bright led the Warrior girls team in the win over the United Local Golden Eagles. Bright rolled games of 216 and 191 for a 407 series.

Teammate Anissa Flanagan posted a 383 series (203, 180), followed by Nikki Rummell 363 (186 177); Tara Oberlin 360 (157, 203); Carenda Fowler 160 and Kellyn Harsh 156.

The Warriors won the individual games score 1,829-1,437 and the Baker 2,514 – 1,961.

Indian Valley

Fowler paced a Warrior team that scored all bowlers above 300, with a 431 (191, 240), followed by Rummell 395 (203, 192); Flanagan 352 (137, 215); Bright 335 (184, 151); and Oberlin 318 (148, 170).

Carrollton won the individual games score 1,831 – 1, 533 and the Baker 601-512.
