Shockey ties school record; Warriors dominate on golf course

Senior Erin Shockey shot a 36 to tie the school record as the Carrollton girls golf team rolled over Minerva 174-245 on the par-35 Carroll Meadows Course Aug. 17. Tire recycling event planned Sept. 5

The Carroll County General Health District is hosting a “Retire the Tire” event at the Carroll County Fairgrounds on Sept. 5 from 8 a.m. to noon. Garner sets golf record

Carrollton freshman Ashlee Garner set a new freshman record on the par 35 Carroll Meadows golf course when the Warriors hosted Claymont Aug. 21. Garner shot a 33 to set the record and lead the Warriors to a 166-202 win over the Claymont Mustangs. Grants available to help county small businesses

Carroll County Economic Development is launching a small business grant program to assist Carroll County small businesses impacted by COVID-19. Known as Carroll County CARES – COVID-19 Small Business Grant, the program is offering a total of $150,000 to help small businesses. Magnolia man dies in UTV crash

A Magnolia man was killed early Sunday morning after a UTV accident in Rose Twp. The Carroll County Sheriff department received a 911 call at 1:40 a.m. for a side-by-side accident on Thunder Rd. at the intersection of Fargo Rd. Troy D.
