Isaiah K. Meek, 22

Isaiah Kristofer Meek, 22, of Carrollton passed away Saturday, Nov. 13, 2021, at University Hospital in Cleveland surrounded by family after a brief battle with COVID-19.  The son of Shane and Anitra Meek, Isaiah was a 2018 graduate of Carrollton High School and Buckeye Career Center’s Graphic Arts Program. Free Thanksgiving meal offered Saturday at Amsterdam church

Students inducted into National Honor Society

The Carrollton High School National Honor Society (NHS) induction ceremony was held recently at the high school. Twenty-nine students were inducted. Parker Varney, president of the Carrollton chapter, served as emcee. Erin King, vice president, spoke on scholarship; Jessi Cramer, secretary, service; Josie Burgett and Kendall Mallarnee, historians, leadership and character, respectively. Carrollton High School sports teams recently wrapped up successful fall sports seasons.  Here’s a wrap up of all teams, including junior high.  Varsity Football Regular season record: 7-3. OHSAA playoffs: Defeated Cambridge 37-21 in the first round; lost to St. Clairsville 38-9 in the second round.  Finished second in the Eastern Buckeye Conference with a 4-2 record.
