Free Thanksgiving meal offered Saturday at Amsterdam church

A free Thanksgiving dinner is planned, Saturday, Nov. 20, at Amsterdam Community Church of God, located at 8247 Bear Rd, SE, from 4-6 p.m.  

Pastor David Guess said one of the main purposes of the dinner is to foster community in the area and express thankfulness to God for the past year. 

The meal consists of turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, roll and dessert.  The event is an eat-in-only dinner.
