Firefighters battle structure fire in Bergholz

Area fire departments assisted Bergholz VFD battle a blaze on 2nd St. in Bergholz twice this week.Bergholz was called to a fire in an apartment above the Bergholz Diner (Marshall’s Restaurant) Sunday afternoon (Feb. 18) at 2:30 p.m.Fox and Amsterdam departments assisted with that fire from Carroll County.It was reported there were no injuries.The departments were recalled to the site Monday morning for a rekindle of the blaze.No other details

Area Girls teams dominate sectional bowling action

Conotton Valley, Minerva and Carrollton swept the top three places at the girls sectional bowling tournament held on Valentine’s Day at Boulevard Lanes at Dover.  The Rockets topped the field of 24 teams with a team total of 2,682.
