The Arbors at Minerva is hosting an Opening Minds Through Art (OMA) show and auction Dec. 4 from 6-9 p.m. at the 400 Carolyn Court facility.  Opening Minds Through Art is an intergenerational art-making program for people with dementia. It was created by experts at the Scripps Gerontology Center at Ohio Miami University over 10 years ago. It has won several awards and been featured in many scholarly articles. You

A ribbon cutting ceremony marked the opening of the new Aultman Orrville Carrollton Schools Health Center at the Carrollton High School/ Middle School complex on Scio Rd. Nov. 17. Suburban Garden Club and Carroll County Arts Center are collaborating for a new event known as Fine Art – Pine Art.  Beginning Dec. 1, garden club members will create arrangements, swags, centerpieces, wreaths and, basically anything made with pine and other greenery. The communities of Carrollton and Minerva will kick off the holiday season over the next two weeks with parades and a variety of events. The Carrollton parade is scheduled Saturday, Nov. 25, at 6 p.m. The theme is Christmas Movie Magic.  Lineup is from 4:30-5:30 p.m. on 3rd St. off Park Ave.  Pre-registration is not required.
