Conotton Valley Senior Masyn Baker, the daughter of Jason and Heather Baker, signed with Bradley University where she will continue her academic and athletic career next fall.
Athletically, she will be joining the Braves’s Softball Team and academically, she plans to
major in Occupational Therapy.
“She’s been the heart and soul of our team for the last three years, and I don’t expect anything different this year. She’s been the team leader when she walked on as a freshman,” said Rocket Softball Coach Jeremy Bleininger, who believes the all-star will excel at Bradley.
“She has the drive and the fight to play the game at a high level, so it’ll just be another stepping stone for her and her career.”
Her dedication to softball has earned her the following awards: two-time Ohio Valley Athletic Conference Player of the Year, three time Eastern District 1st Team, two-time 1st Team All Ohio Honors, and three-time Inter Valley Conference 1st Team honors.
“We are very proud of Masy and are eager to see her excel at the next level. Her hard work and dedication to the game of softball have led her to this point in her career. We wish her all the very best as a Bradley Brave,” said John Zucal, Conotton Valley superintendent.
“We are always excited to see our student athletes go on to experience success after the high school level. Masy’s dedication to her sport and her studies have helped her with this great accomplishment. She is a leader in our district and the younger students look up to her and will hopefully follow in her footsteps!” said Athletic Director Ed Marsh.
