William “Scott” Stone, 52, of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, formerly of East Springfield, OH passed away Feb 9th, 2024 after a car accident. He was born Oct. 13th, 1971, in Steubenville, OH.
Scott graduated from Edison South HS and the JVS Carpentry Program. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in the 101st Airborne Division during Desert Storm. He earned the rank of Sergeant before being honorably discharged after 8 years.
After military service, he earned two bachelor’s degrees: Computer Programming from Franciscan University and Elementary Education from Stockton University. He worked as a math teacher and owned a Snapology business. Scott had a passion for fishing, camping, and training his service dog, MK-19. His greatest love was reserved for his 3 children whom he adored. He treasured every moment with them.
Scott is survived by his parents Ron and Linda Stone, his siblings Amanda (Robert) Flint and Amy (David Bowden) Bennett, his children Tyler (Kelsey) Westfall, Evalyn and Grayson Stone, and his grandchildren Mason, Rosalie, and Oliver, along with countless other relatives. He is preceded in death by his brother, Ron Stone and his best friend, John Weddington.
A memorial service will be held March 9th, 2024 at the Beacon of Light Church, 8247 Amsterdam Rd. SE, Amsterdam, OH 43903. Visiting hours are from 1-2:30 p.m. Military honors provided by VFW Post 232. For further information and to sign the guestbook, please log online to www.Brown-Forward.com.
