Rodney David Shirley

Rodney D. Shirley, 78 of Strasburg passed away on Tuesday March 19, 2024 after a long illness.

He was born on Dec. 15, 1945, to the late Dudley and Pearl Shirley. He was a Vietnam Veteran. Rodney was married to the love of his life for over 38 years. He retired from Timken Roller Bearing and remained active in retirement by fishing at Atwood Lake.

Survivors include his wife Christine and daughter Carolyn “Shirley” Weaver; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Rodney was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Rodney Shirley Jr.

Graveside services will be held Monday March 25, at 11 a.m. at Baxter’s Ridge United Methodist Church with Full Military Honors.
