Ronald J. Jackson

Ronald J. Jackson, 67, of Canton passed away on Friday, Oct. 27, 2023. 

Ronald was born on March 25, 1956, to the late James and Eleanor Jackson. He graduated from Southern Local School. He attended Trinity Friends Church in Lisbon where he enjoyed playing basketball with his cousins and friends. Ronald enjoyed video games on his tablet with the most poplar was his fishing games. His T.V. shows were Law and Order and Monday Night Wrestling. Ronald loved eating homemade ice crème with his step-dad.  Ronald worked at several jobs including Summitville Tiles and different disposal companies. He was disabled at the age of 45 due to heart problems. 

Survivors include his step-father Larry Haupt of Salineville and his companion Jessica Vissoc of Canton and many loving family and friends. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Eleanor Jackson; grandparents, Cecil and Zelda Lewis; 10 aunts and uncles. 

Calling hours will be Thursday, Nov. 2, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. with the funeral to follow at 1 p.m. at Maple Cotton Funeral Home in Kensington. Burial will be in the Grove Hill Cemetery in Hanoverton.
