Herbert Lee Booth, 92, of Paris, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2022, at Minerva Healthcare & Rehabilitation.
Born August 18, 1929, in Belington, WV, he was a son to Hayward and Alice (Moore) Booth.
Herbert was a World War II veteran serving in Yugoslavia and Italy. He retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company where he worked as a rim inspector and forklift driver. He also worked as a farmer raising beef cattle. He enjoyed going to Kiko auctions where you could usually find him every Saturday. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by three daughters, Vivien (Lamont) Boyer of Mineral Ridge, Marsha Booth of Newton Falls, and Beverly (David) Russell of Minerva; a son, James Booth of Paris; nine grandchildren, Jill (Jon) Wodek, Eric (Darla) Boyer, Sara (Wes) Gearhart, Kyle Russell, Haylee (Eric) Crossley, Patrick (Marley) Russell, Megan (Ryan) Immel, Autumn (Adam) Campbell and Madison Booth; 18 great-grandchildren, Jackson, Sophie, Ethan, Jacob, Mason, Makenzie, Alyssa, Kayla, Lucas, Paisley, Talan, Autumn, Brailyn, Lily, Layton, Bentleigh, Harrison and Landri; and his faithful dog, Penny.
In addition to his parents, Herbert was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Booth; two brothers, John Booth and Robert Booth; and two sisters Audra Lambert and Elwanda Booth.
His passing has taken a piece of all of our hearts. He will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 13, at 11 a.m. at Bartley Funeral Home, 205 W. Lincoln Way, Minerva, with Pastor Alan Lamb of Paris Israel Church officiating. Burial will follow at Paris Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Thursday, May 12 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bartley Funeral Home.
