Allen Lee Mayle, 75

Allen Lee Mayle, 75, of Minerva, Ohio, passed away at Aultman Health Foundation on Monday, April 1, 2024. He was born on May 21, 1948, in Grafton, West Virginia to Virgil and Sarah (Minard) Mayle.

Allen retired from LTV Steel after many years of being a dedicated employee, served as a foster parent for 18 years, and was a member of the Minerva Area Coon Hunters Association. His hobbies and interests included hunting, fishing, playing his guitar, spending time with friends and family, sharing his faith at various churches, and enjoyed reading and watching Westerns.

Allen is survived by his children: Lori (Richard Lee) Collins, Melanie (Henry) Mayle, Scott Mayle, David Mayle, Matthew Mayle, Charity (Troy) Grindstaff, Benjamin Mayle, and their Mother, Charlotte Mayle; a special friend, Edward Morris with whom he enjoyed studying the Bible, having breakfast and a cup of coffee; grandchildren: Trinity Grindstaff, Elijah Mayle, Lilly Mayle, Gabrielle Mayle, Shawn Mayle, Kristin Mayle, Pamela Mayle, and Logan Mayle; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by siblings Patricia Mayle, Vernice Mayle, Cornelius Mayle, Alisa (Edsel) Mayle, and Carla (Donald) Collins.

In addition to his parents, Allen is preceded in death by son, Allen Mayle Jr; brother, Kyle Mayle; and grandson, Trevor Alan Grindstaff.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate Allen’s life will be held on Friday, April 5, at 11 a.m. at Bartley Funeral Home, 205 West Lincoln Way, Minerva, Ohio, with Anthony Wayne Mayle of Canton Freewill Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation for friends and loved ones will take place on Thursday, April 4, 2024, from 6-8 p.m. at Bartley Funeral Home.

Allen will be remembered for his love of his family, his unwavering faith in God, and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
