The former Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, built in the 1924, was torn down today as part of a demolition grant awarded to Carroll County Commissioners. Several properties throughout the county have been or will be torn down as part of the project.
Eugene “Gene” Zorger, 88, of Carrollton, passed away Tuesday, June 27th, at Mercy Medical Center. Born in Louisville, Ohio on May 24, 1935, a son of the late Neal and Julia (Mueller) Zorger, also preceded in death by his wife Marjorie “Midge” (Lamielle) Zorger, and son Lance Zorger.
