Sandra “Sandy” Kay Manbeck, 68, died suddenly March 23, 2024, at her home near Scio.
Born December 26, 1955, in Dennison, she was a daughter of the late Gilbert R. Schoolcraft and Shirley Ann Kugler Schoolcraft.
Sandy graduated from Carrollton High School in 1974 and worked for a brief time at the former Scio Pottery. She had also worked as the groundskeeper at Carroll Court in Carrollton and had been a cook for area youth camps.
In her younger years she enjoyed roller skating at Scio Roller Rink and had been in the Valie Lanes Bowling League in Jewett. She enjoyed gardening and shared her mother’s talent for crocheting. She enjoyed baking cookies for her family and loved every moment spent with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bobby” Manbeck on Feb. 22, 2023, a brother, Jack Schoolcraft, and a sister, Penny Kimmel.
Surviving are her oldest son, Joseph (Ashley) Manbeck of Jewett and their children Jaxson and Jole Manbeck and Jaden, Emilie and Bella Hunt; and youngest son, Jesse (Kayla) Manbeck of Scio and their children Bentley, Ryder and Madisyn “Sissy” Manbeck; a brother-in-law, Chris (Roxanne) Manbeck; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Thursday, March 28, at 11 am in Koch Funeral Home, 101 W Main St, Scio with Pastor Deborah Kellar officiating. Friends may call March 27 from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
