Virtual tour of Buckeye Career Center is Feb. 26

Buckeye Career Center (BCC) is releasing a new way for prospective students, their family members, and the community to tour the career center during the existing health pandemic.  BCC will release to the public a 360-degree virtual tour Feb. 26  at 2:30 p.m. on the career center’s website. Carrollton grad named Edison teacher of month

Joanne Johnston is Edison High School’s Employee of the Month for January. She has worked at Edison full-time for 18 years and has an education degree in Dairy Science and Agricultural Business, plus she has served as a substitute for four years. Johnston has held a variety of positions throughout the years including cook, special needs preschool and general education preschool aide, kindergarten aide, attendance aide and special education aide.

Warriors recognize coach during Breast Cancer Awareness Month

The Carrollton Warriors football team wore pink jerseys during the Oct. 2 game to celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness Month, but chose to honor one of their own fighting cancer prior to the contest with Cambridge. The Warriors recognized Coach Josh Beadnell, who was diagnosed with cancer in June 2020, and his family during pre-game festivities. The coach is undergoing treatment for a high-grade glioma (brain cancer).

Pamela K. (Oser) Yingling, 70, of Carrollton, passed away Tuesday morning, June 16, 2020, at Mercy Medical Center in Canton. Born Aug. 4, 1949, in Barberton, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Mildred Garman Oser.  Pamela attended St. Phillip Elementary, St. James Middle School and Northwest High School.
