Wrestlers dominate field at Lake Duals

Carrollton opened the new wresting season by completing the sweep at the Lake Duals Dec. 7.

The Warriors topped New Philadelphia 54-17, Mayfield 48-30, Akron North 78-6 and Lake 42-34.

 Warriors who went undefeated on the day include sophomores Sawyer Broadwater (106 lbs.) and Cael Lowdermilk (113), freshman Andrew Childs, (132), junior John Childs (144) and freshman Ja’waye Richardson (150).. 

Sandy Valley

The Cardinals hosted Tuslaw on Senior Night, Dec. 5, honoring two seniors, Madison Vickers and Jake Kandis.

The hosts fell to the Mustangs 55-18. Aidan Douglas recorded a pin while Caleb Smith and Mason Vickers picked up wins by decisions.

The Cardinals will be back in action against Minerva Dec 11 at 6 p.m.
