Conotton Valley girls sweep top IVC bowling awards

Conotton Valley claimed the girls team championship for the inaugural season of Inter Valley Conference bowling awards.
The Rockets, who ended the season 14-0 in league action and claimed the title with 22 points, followed by East Canton (11-3) with 18. Sandy Valley (6-8) placed fifth.
Coach Brian Baxter was named coach of the year and senior Mackenzie Willoughby player of year. She joined on the first team by senior Mylie Galigher and sophomore Delilah Williams. Senior Alexis Booth received honorable mention recognition.
Sandy Valley junior Addison Shelby was a second team selection and senior Breanna Beckett honorable mention.
Boys Division
Indian Valley claimed the inaugural boys championship with 22 points and a 14-0 league record. Conotton Valley was second with 17 points and a 10-4 league mark. Sandy Valley was third (9-5).
Indian Valley Coach Brice Miller was named coach of the year and the Braves Daniel Grewell was player of the year.
Rocket senior Bobby Brennan was a first team pick along with sophomore Nate Downing. Sandy Valley’s AJ Meighen, a senior, was also named to the first team. Cardinal senior Sean Maddox and junior Conlin Warwick were named to the second team.
Rocket junior Zack Parker and Cardinal senior Russell Hummell received honorable mention recognition.
