Art (Bud) McGuire, 84 of Mineral City passed away on Monday, Sept. 25, 2023 with his family by his side.
He was born in Jeffersonville Kentucky to the late Parmer and Anna McGuire on January 16, 1939. He married the love of his life Alma L. (Elliott) McGuire on May 13, 1959 and she passed away on July 26, 2015. Bud retired as a self employed truck driver . He was a member of the N.R.A. and was active in the Boy Scouts of America. He was a Scout Master and received his 5 th year Pipestone at the age of 79. He looked forward to his yearly hunting and fishing vacation trips every June.
He was a member of the The Little Anna United Baptist Church in Dungannon where he also served as a minister.
Survivors include his daughter Lena (Thomas) Zwick. Two sons Charles (Cynthia) McGuire and Mark (Rebecca) McGuire. Ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. His brothers William (Violet) McGuire, Tom (Carol) McGuire, Frank (Desta) McGuire, Merle McGuire and his sister Rose Conley. Two sister-in-laws Linda and Mary McGuire. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Carl, Mitchel, Chester, Palmer Jr.
Calling hours will be at the Allmon Dugger Cotton Funeral Home in Carrollton on Friday Sept. 29, from 4-8 p.m. The funeral will be at the funeral home at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30, with Steve McGuire, Tom McGuire and Charles (Hammer) McGuire officiating. The burial will be in the Grove Hill Cemetery in Hanoverton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Aultman Hospice and compassionate care center, Canton Ohio.
