VFW Post 3301 auxiliary receives state’s top honor

V.F.W. Fighting McCook Post 3301 Auxiliary and President Tammy Newbold received the State of Ohio V.F.W. Auxiliary Award, the highest honors for the state of Ohio.
Awards were presented at the 2022 convention held in Sandusky.
There are 200 auxiliaries in the state of Ohio and out of that five receive outstanding president awards, five receive runner-up presidential awards, and President Tammy Newbold received the top honor.
Auxiliaries are required to complete all reports, membership drive, community service, fundraiser and most important provide for their veterans.
Newbold credits her auxiliary membership for their successful year.
“I could not do this without all of the other members’ help,” said Newbold. “We are a team, and there is no I in team.”
The group includes members President Tammy Newbold, Sr. Vice President Lori Seaburn, Chaplain Ranelle Carson, Secretary Marge Howell, Past Chaplain Trudy Lucas, Trustee Veronica Gotschall, Treasurer Tammy (Newbold) Jones, Conductress Debbie Paulette, and auxiliary members Jenna Carr, Ralph Zupo and Wes Householder.
