CHS athletes named students of the month honors

Mackenzie Rummell and Hayden Jenkins are Carrollton High School’s April Senior Students of the Month.
Mackenzie Rummell is the daughter of Mike and Jen Rummell of Carrollton. She has one older sister, Nikki Rummell, 21, who is in college.
Rummell is involved in bowling, golf, theater program, Girl Scouts, National Honor Society, competitive dance, Student Council and trap shooting.
Her hobbies include cooking and painting.
She plans on attending college at The University of Mount Union and major in mechanical engineering and minor in electrical engineering and business administration.
Who has influenced you and why?
“Aiden McNutt, he has taught me to live life to the fullest,” said Rummell.
What advice can you give for success in life?
“Don’t procrastinate.”
Hayden Jenkins is the son of Azurede and Ron Jenkins, of Carrollton. He has one sister, 22.
Extracurricular activities include baseball and his own business.
Hobbies include playing golf with his friends.
In the future he plans on attending Gannon University to become an electrical engineer.
Who influenced you and why?
“My dad because of how hard he works,” said Jenkins. “This pushes me to work hard as well.”
What advice can you give for success in life? “The only way to do great work is to love what you do.”
