Massillon woman dies in ATV accident

A Massillon woman died as the result of a 4-wheeler accident April 4 on Citrus Rd. in Brown Twp.

Meghan Turner, 30, of Massillon, was transported by Quad Ambulance and pronounced dead at Aultman Hospital. According to Carroll County Sheriff Dale R. Williams, dispatch received a call at 10:40 p.m. of an accident involving a 4-wheeler.

The vehicle Turner was a passenger on was driven by Kelly A. Pontones, 27, of 7112 Waynesburg Rd., Waynesburg.  Pontones was traveling west on Citrus Rd. when the 4-wheeler went left of center. The 4-wheeler went off the left side of the road, down an embankment and overturned. Pontones was also transported to the hospital.

The accident remains under investigation.
