High St. fire quickly brought under control

Firefighters from three departments are cleaning up at the scene of a fire at 439 High St., Carrollton.

Carrollton Fire Chief Shane Thomas said no one was injured in the blaze, which was reported just before 7 a.m.  Assistant Chief Bill Wells said the fire started in an upstairs bedroom and both residents were downstairs and were able to escape from the home.

Firefighters from Fox, Dellroy and Carrollton responded to the fire, which was quickly brought under control. The home sustained heavy damage.
