Rochelle Chestnut, the new owner of Hair Gallery, is making it her own while retaining the same service to the community.

Chestnut acquired the full-service salon and spa on March 1 and plans for a grand opening on May 11.

“I have done hair since 2007 and my son graduated high school last year, so this was something I always wanted to do,” said Chestnut. “It is also a good investment for the future. I am looking forward to keeping the salon going and still be able to serve the community.”

Along with owner/hairstylist Chestnut is Carly Palmer, hair stylist; Hannah Wagner, hair stylist and spa; Brooke Geis, nail tech; and Michelle Capson, massage therapist.

Hair Gallery is open Tuesday through Saturday with varying hours per employee. Walk-ins are accepted upon availability.

“Each stylist creates their own schedules,” said Chestnut. “Hours vary between each person.”

Hair Gallery offers haircuts, color and blonding, perms, eyelashes and eye care, facials, body treatments, waxing, acrylics and luminary, basic manicures and pedicures. Services are offered for both women and men.

Prices vary and are subject to change due to hair length and/or thickness.

Chestnut has been at Hair Gallery for four years and still enjoys working with hair after all these years.

“I can’t think of something else that I could do where I would be this happy,” said Chestnut.

Hair Gallery has been open for over 50 years, but it has been at the current location at 39 E. Main St., for four years.

Part of making the business her own is the new renovation work that has been done. White siding has been replaced with a darker gray siding.

“The siding was redone and changed color because I wanted it to look more modern and standout since we are attached to the other businesses,” said Chestnut. “I wanted it to be updated. The color is also more me. A sign is ordered and is coming very soon.”

The grand opening event is set for May 11, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. There will be basket raffles, food, discounted services, service vouchers and an opportunity to meet the team.

“If someone has never been here, they are invited to come see the salon,” said Chestnut. “We are offering gift baskets and more for those who visit.”

Hair Gallery can be reached at 330-627-3400. Appointments may be booked at the website www.vagaro.com/hair-gallery. See the Hair Gallery on Facebook and Instagram.
