Area Halloween events

TRUNK-OR-TREAT

AUGUSTA:  Oct. 24 from 2-4 p.m. with activities for kids at Augusta Community Park (former school grounds). A costume contest and refreshments will follow from 4-5 p.m. the event is sponsored by area churches and is open to the public. 

MINERVA: Trunk-or-Treat Oct. 28 from 5-7 p.m. at Great Trail Community Church of God, 16561 Liberty Church St. SE, Minerva. 

MALVERN:  First Christian Church of Malvern Oct. 30 from 1-4 p.m. handing out treats and hot dogs. Event will be cancelled in the event of rain.

SCIO: Scio United Methodist Church Oct. 30 from 3-6 p.m. in the social room. 

CARROLLTON: Carrollton First United Methodist Church Oct. 30 from 3:30-5 p.m. at the Carroll County Fairgrounds. For ages 2 years old to 5th grade.

KILGORE: Oct. 30 at Loudon Twp. Fire Dept. at 6 p.m. A party and hayride will follow (weather permitting).

AMSTERDAM: Oct. 31 at Amsterdam Church of God on Bear Rd. from 5-7 p.m.

Trick-or-Treat

Oct. 28: Malvern, 5:30-7 p.m.  

Oct. 30: Scio, 3-6 p.m. and Bergholz, 4-6 p.m. 

Oct. 31:

Bowerston, Leesville and Sherrodsville 4-6 p.m.

Amsterdam, 4-7 p.m.

Carrollton and Salineville, 5-7 p.m. Salineville parade begins at 5 p.m. Trick-or-Treat begins immediately following.

Dellroy, 5:30-7 p.m.

Magnolia: 6-7 p.m.

MINERVA: Oct. 28 from 4:30-6:30 p.m., followed by a parade at 6:45 p.m. and a party at 7 p.m. at the Community Building.
