 May 28 & 29 – 2nd Annual Appalachian Antique Power Show at Harrison Coal & Reclamation Historical Park grounds, 43672 Stumptown Rd.  New Athens. Saturday 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Admission $5. Swap & flea market area. Info at 330-401-5129.   

June 4 – Community Breakfast at Loudon Twp. Community Center, SR 9 in Kilgore, 7:30-10 a.m. by donation. Proceeds go toward maintaining the building. Includes eggs, various meats, hash browns, biscuits, more. For info, call Judy at 330-323-5610 or Donna, 330-340-5298. Handicapped accessible. 

June 4 – Carroll County Animal Protection League Spaghetti Dinner 4-6 p.m. at Minerva Senior Center. $8 Adults, $5 children age 11 and younger. Walk-ins welcome. Carryout available. Ticketsavailable from any club member. Proceeds benefit no-kill animal shelter construction. 

June 4 – A Minerva Public Library Puzzle Exchange 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Swap puzzles for adults and kids. Put a note in box indicating the puzzle is missing a piece or two.  The library is accepting donations of gently used puzzles.  The library is located at 677 Lynnwood Dr, Minerva.  For info, call 330-868-4101.  

June 4 – Steak Fry from 5-8 p.m. at the Carrollton VFW Post 3301 on Chase Rd. Open to the public. Dine in or carryout. Music 8-11 p.m. 

June 4 – Liberty Bridge Band playing 60s & 70s music at Bluebird Farm Park from 7-10 p.m.

June 5 – Liberty Bridge Band playing 60s & 70s music at Vaughn’s Pub in Bolivar from 2-5 p.m.

June 6- First class of a six-week class Watercolor Silhouettes with Bev Marsh “The Power of Using Light.” Classes are  Mondays from 6-8 p.m. through July 18 (no class July 4). Supplies are provided. Cost is $75. Pre-registration and payment required by calling 330-627-3739.

June 6-10 – Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church Monumental Vacation Bible School  9  a.m.-noon for ages 3 through 6th grade. To register, call the church at 330-627-2219. Children will explore God’s awesomeness and form a rock-solid faith.
