Sandra L. Barbour

Sandra L. Barbour, 71, of Minerva, died Friday, Aug. 4, 2023, in the Minerva Healthcare Center. She was born Sept. 21, 1951, in Columbus to Ruby (Havens) Buxton. She worked as a nursed aid at the Elmhurst Convalescent Center in Columbus and for the Columbus Salvation Army. 

She is survived by her husband, James “Bob” Barbour whom she married Sept. 13, 1976; three sons, Jeremy (Darcy Seaburn) Lanham of Minerva, Jimmy Barbour of Washington Courthouse and Mike (Melody) Barbour of Columbus; two sisters, Linda (Roger) Stephens of North Charleston, SC, and Diane Carroll of Columbus, stepsister, Tina Durst of Alliance, 7 stepbrothers, Maynard Buxton Jr. of Columbus, Roger Buxton of Orlando, FL, Victor Buxton of Oklahoma City, OK, Steve Buxton of Newark, Frank Buxton of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Tim Buxton of Minerva, and Daniel Buxton of Columbus and six grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by 2 sons, Steven Barbour, and Ronald Lanham Sr.; 2 sisters, Debbie Durst and Sue Clark; and 2 brothers, Samuel and Billy Durst; and 2 stepbrothers, Kevin and Harold Buxton.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 9, at 1 p.m. in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Lisa Evans officiating. Burial will be held in East Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be 2 hours prior to services from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Those wishing to send condolences may sign the online register at www.gotschallfuneralhome.com.
