Ruth Nancy Laura Moledor

Ruth Nancy Laura Moledor, age 86, of Canton, formerly of Carrollton, passed away Friday afternoon, Aug. 11, 2023 surrounded by her family.

Ruth was born Feb. 07, 1937, in North Canton, Ohio to the late Herbert and Vanetta (Parks) Hartong. She was a graduate of Hoover high School where she very active in band. Retired as a top-notch brush lacer from the Hoover Company in 2006 after 45 years of service. She was a member of the Carrollton First Presbyterian Church where she served as a Deacon, was active with The Sharing Bread Program and children’s education programs. 

Ruth was also actively involved for several years in Eastern Star holding many positions with the Carrollton EOS Chapter, including being a member of The Ohio Grand Family and Grand Representative to the state of Iowa. She was a very loved and well known 4-H advisor with The Middlebranch Merry Maids 4-H club for years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Royal Lee, Ward and Joy Hartong, and her loving husband of 61 years, Joseph N. Moledor; She is survived by children, Pamela (Joe) Sedon, of Canton, and Robert (Michelle) Moledor of Lancaster, OH; grandchildren, Emily (Keith) Neimeyer, Joseph (Katie) Sedon, Alec (Riana) Sedon, Grant (Holly) Moledor, Megan Moledor (finance, Andy Dill), and Spencer Moledor; four great-grandchildren, Joey and Emma Sedon, Max and Maison Neimeyer; and a sister, Betty Lou Lucas of Tampa, Florida.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m in the Karlo-Libby Funeral Home. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service. An Eastern Star Celebration of Life service will be held prior to visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the SouthernCare Hospice Services, 3575 Forest Lake Dr #550, Uniontown, Ohio 44685.
