Robert “Bob” Jelllick, 69

Robert “Bob” Jellick,69, passed away July 25, 2023, after an extended illness.

 He was born Feb. 9, 1954, in Uniontown, PA, to the late Michael and Dorothy Hunchuck Jellick.

 He graduated from Louisville High School and later went on to have a career at Timken Steel before his retirement. Throughout his working years, he was known for his unwavering passion and commitment to excellence in everything he did.

 Beyond his professional life, Bob had a profound love for farming and machining. His hands were skilled, and he took pride in every task he undertook, always striving to do his best. But above all, he cherished the moments spent with Riley, his grand-dog, finding joy and comfort in their companionship.

 He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Amsterdam.

 He will be remembered fondly by his son, Matt Jellick of Minerva, and his sister, Marianne (James) Fisher of Harlem Springs, along with several nieces and nephews who will cherish the memories of their time with him.

 Along with his parents Bob was preceded in death by his brother, Gerard, in 2016.

 A Mass of Christian Burial will be held July 29 at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Amsterdam, with Fr. Jack McCoy officiating. Following the service, he will be laid to rest in Harlem Springs Cemetery.

 Friends and family will have an opportunity to pay their respects during the visitation Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Dodds Funeral Home of Amsterdam.
