Ray L. Everhart, 85

Ray L. Everhart, 85, of Guilford Lake, passed away Nov.25, 2020.

Ray is the son of the late Allen and Kathleen (Minor) Everhart.

He graduated from Augusta High School and served in the Navy from 1962 to 1969. He served on the following ships: the BonHomm Richard, the Independence and the KittyHawk. Ray married Janet Elizabeth Price in February 1961.                                                                

He was a member of Trinity Friends Church and the Guilford Lake Ruritan Club. He worked at Eljer’s for 25 years. His passion was his family and then coon hunting. He loved to play baseball. He is survived by his wife, Janet and his four children, John (LeAnn) Everhart of Sebring, Jerry (Pam) Everhart of Pittsburgh, PA, Lois (Chris) Alcoces of San Antonio TX, and Sid (Jennifer) Everhart of Lisbon; his paternal half siblings, Lillian, Terry and Floyd; his maternal half siblings, Sandy, Bert, Barton, Betty, Don, Elton, Tom and Paul; and 10 grandchildren, Jeri Michelle, Mitchell, Charlie, Michael, Elizabeth, Alison, Charlie Sue, Josh, Zachary and Sydnee. 

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Elton Ramsey Sr. and his stepmother, Jean Everhart; and his siblings on the Ramsey side, Louise, Jim and Carol.
