Joyce A. Dowd, 66, of Alliance passed away on Saturday March 9, 2024 after a short illness.

She was born in Salem to the late Robert (Pauline) Bingham Jr. on Dec. 31, 1957. Joyce has lived in Alliance for the past seven years. She has also lived in East Palestine and was raised in Kensington. She graduated from Minerva and went on to obtain her B.S. degree and later was certified as a Microsoft computer Tech. She worked for the Xerox Company. Her passion was her grandchildren and cooking.

Survivors include her husband Tim L. Dowd of Lisbon. Her son Shaun (Julia Wermuth) Dowd of Lisbon. Two sisters Claudette Monea of Alliance and Daphne Thomas of Minerva. Three grandchildren Jadon Dowd, Onyx Dowd and Emerald Dowd.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents two brothers Darrell Bingham and Robert Bingham III.

Calling hours will be held Friday March 15, at Maple Cotton from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The funeral will start at 1 p.m. The burial will be in Bethesda Church Cemetery.
