Jeffrey A. Rainsberger, 62

Jeffrey A. Rainsberger, 62, of Carrollton, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2024 in his home surrounded by his family.

He was born Feb. 21, 1962 in Canton to Wilma Jean (Cook) Rainsberger of Carrollton and the late Thomas Dean Rainsberger. He was a Carroll County Deputy for over 20 years and had worked for Regal Metal, Kopp Clay and Tractor Supply. He graduated from Carrollton High School in 1980. He is a member of the Carroll Lodge #124 F&AM, Carroll Chapter #315 Order of the Eastern Star and a former President of the Carroll County Bee Club. He was recently nominated and accepted into the McCook Bowling Hall of Fame for his dedication to helping others and for his remarkable bowling achievements. He was an avid deer hunter, trapper and enjoyed spending time fishing with his family. One of his greatest joys was being Pappy to the grandchildren and he was never able to say no. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, family, friends and those who he had a special bond with at Tractor Supply.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Becky (Twaddle) Rainsberger whom he married May 4, 2013; 3 stepchildren, Chelsy (Randy) Byron of Bergholz, Nathaniel (Kathryn) Shepherd of VA and Tanner (Jaylee) Evans of Bowling Green; brother, David (Wendy) Rainsberger of Carrollton; 5 grandchildren; Lydia, Emmett, Jack, Easton and Owen; uncle, Dave (Heidi) Cook; a nephew, David Alan (Ashley) Rainsberger; and great-niece, Ava Leigh.
