Frances “Ann” Finnicum, 91, of Carrollton, Ohio, died early Thursday morning, Dec. 5, 2024 in the Carroll Healthcare Center.
She was born July 5, 1933, in Canton, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Ellis Orrville and Lucille G. (George) Marshall. Her husband Ray Edward Finnicum, whom she married Oct.12, 1952, passed away on Nov. 5, 2011. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her twin sister, Mary Jane Schmitt.
Ann was primarily a homemaker, tending to the needs of her home and family for most of her life. She was a faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church in Carrollton. She was a member of the Carroll County Historical Society, a place that she enjoyed gathering and quilting with her lady friends.
She is survived by a son, Richard (Barbara) Finnicum of Punta Gorda, Florida, a daughter, Mrs. Polly (David) Jones of Dellroy three granddaughters, Mrs. Kari (Rich) Nussbaum of Sherrodsville, Mrs. Beth (James) Rush of Westerville,, Mrs. Katie (Andrew) McKenna of Charlotte, North Carolina; her two great-grandsons, Declan and Everett, and another great-grandson soon to be born.
There are currently no formal public funeral arrangements scheduled. Private interment has taken place in the Westview Cemetery at Carrollton.
