Autumn Simmons

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of a beloved soul, Autumn Simmons, who unexpectedly left us on May 12, 2024. While she may be gone from us, she has returned to the love of her life Robert Mayle and her beloved parents Bill and Bonnie Simmons.

She is survived by four children, Julianne (Lew) Goon-Metcalf, Bonnie Stewart, Steve Simmons, and Lacie Cheuvront; five grandchildren, Austin (Makayla) Goon, Stormy (Frank) Stewart, Summer (Tylor) Smith, Juliaunté Simmons, and Rosalie Cheuvront; five great-grandchildren, Lorelei and Haiden Clubbs, Paisley, Blaire, and (coming soon) baby Goon, and Willow Smith; and 1 brother, Westside Steve (Susan) Simmons.

She was a lover of needle-point, cooking and baking, reading, and routinely spoiling her grandkids and great-grandkids. There was no cat to ever grace her presence that she did not love as if it were her own child, and she was known as “Mama” to countless more than just her own children.

To commemorate the incredible impact that she has had upon us all and to celebrate the love she spread, calling hours will be held at Allmon-Dugger-Cotton Funeral Home in Carrollton, on May 18, from 10 a.m. –12 p.m., immediately followed by funeral services. Just as she would have wanted to bring everyone together again, we invite all who knew her to join us in sharing a meal at Carrollton Baptist Temple thereafter.
