WWII veteran to be featured inVeterans Day event at Roxy Theatre

Minerva will host “An Afternoon on the Battlefield: Honoring All Who Served,” a Veterans Day event on Saturday, Nov. 11, 1:30 p.m., at the Roxy Theatre. All veterans and community members are encouraged to attend.

Doors will open at 1 p.m. and the event will feature music from the WWII era, recognition of all veterans, light refreshments, and a screening of “Memoirs of WWII: Bill Pilati,” a short film by Joshua and Heather Scott.

Pilati, a Minerva resident and WWII veteran, served in the U.S. Army during the Battle of the Bulge.

Following the film, there will be a question-and-answer period with WWII veterans and the Scotts.

Admission is free. The event will be followed by a social time.
