Weekend of activities planned Oct. 8, 9 to celebrate church’s 200th anniversary

The First Presbyterian Church in Carrollton will be celebrating its 200th anniversary with activities Oct. 8 and 9.
A free concert, open to the public, is planned Oct. 8 at 7 p.m. featuring Celia and Hannah Mergen, Jay and Rebecca Stoneman, and others. A freewill offering will be taken for the Blessings in a Backpack program.
A special service of worship and celebration will take place Oct. 9 at the 10:30 a.m. worship service. Several former pastors as well as the executive Presbytery for the Muskingum Valley Presbytery will assist Rev. Tim Dyck in conducting the service. Following the service there will be a catered meal in the fellowship hall. All who wish to attend are welcome. Those planning on attending the meal are requested to RSVP to the church office at
(330) 627-4330. The church is located at 200 N. Lisbon St.
