He completed his project, to plan and fill emergency “Go Buckets” at Brown Local School, in the spring of 2018. The presentation included first aid and basic emergency preparedness.
Seth started his county journey as a Tiger Cub in first grade with Pack 155. He continued up the Cub Scout trail to earn the pack’s highest award, “The Arrow of Light,” as well as the “God and Me” award.
He crossed over to Troop 155 in 2015. He served as a member of staff last year as the troop scribe and is currently assistant senior patrol leader.
Kandel attended many camps over the years, including Haliburton Scout Reservation in Canada, Ohio Pyle, Hocking Hills and a trek to Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico in 2019. He holds a fifth-year Pipestone and is a member of the Order of the Arrow.
He is the son of Troy and Missy Kandel of Malvern and is a freshman at Malvern High School, where he plays trumpet in the band and is a member of the cross county, basketball and track teams. He is a member of Malvern First Christian Church.
His Eagle is sponsored by his family. His Eagle Scout Charge was conducted by his brother, and troop 155’s 126 Eagle Scout, Devin Kandel during a ceremony July 25 at Malvern Park.
