The Oil and Gas Association along with the Williams Company and area oil and gas companies partnered to do Toys for Tots for area children. On Dec. 3 the group was at the Scio Volunteer Fire Department.

“We are doing what we can to make the holidays merry for local families,” said Williams Community and Outreach Specialist Maggie Wallen.

Approximately 20 Williams employees were on site to help families shop and carry their gifts to their vehicles. They would serve approximately 115 families at the Scio location.

“We are thankful to the Scio Volunteer Fire Department for letting us use the space for free to help their community,” said Mike Chadsey, director of External Affairs at the Ohio Oil and Gas Association. “This is the 11th year doing this for multiple counties, and this is the most money raised and the biggest event yet.”

Each child gets four toys, some books and either a game or puzzle for the family to enjoy together.
