Reed, Moore named CHS students of month

Caden Reed and Pheobe Moore

Carrollton High School seniors Caden Reed and Pheobe Moore were named February Students of the Month. 

Reed is the son of Robin and Matt Reed of Carrollton. He has a sister who is in the 6th grade. 

At school, he is involved in French and art classes. His special hobby is painting. 

He plans to attend Tiffin University and become a genetic counselor. 

What teacher, coach, family member or special friend has influenced him? 

“Mrs. Pozderac and Mr. Koppelman have both influenced my love for art and creativity,” he said. “My family has influenced me by being supportive and there for me.”

His advice for success in life? “To have a supportive and loving group for yourself.”

Moore is the daughter of Jimmy and Paula Moore of Amsterdam. She has an older brother, Colby, who is 20, and a younger brother, Gabe, who is 15, and a freshman.

She is a member of the Carrollton golf team, CHS Club, National Honor Society, Youth2Youth and student council. She is the yearbook editor and senior class president. 

She likes to try new restaurants and make sushi.

She plans to attend Mount Vernon Nazarene University and major in Biology with a focus in Pre-Veterinary Medicine with a minor in Chemistry. She will then attend vet school.

Who has influenced her?

“Colby, my brother, has inspired me so much since he has graduated from high school,” she said. “He has worked really hard to build a life with Kenna (his fiancé) and I find their relationship and the way they cherish each other truly inspiring.”

Her advice for success in life? “Work hard and enjoy all life has to offer.”
